This guidance book provides advice on planning, location and design of public transport interchanges, as part of developing a seamless transit network. Basic premises for achieving this is discussed, as well as how the overall network should steer location of interchanges and their features. Travelers’, operators’ and the transit modes’ demands in regards to interchange design are described. Examples of solutions for different types of interchanges are shown. This book also indicate which factors should be present when implementing and monitoring interchange development.
