Regional and local government in the Bodø district is working, in cooperation with national transport administrations, on a joint plan for the development of the public transport system for the town and surrounding district with a total population of some 40 000. This report presents new possibilities and solutions for the development of the public transport system. It is based on analysis of the existing public transport supply and demand, and general knowledge of good practice in public transport policy and network design. Further analysis of the proposed solutions and their effects will be made in the planning process towards the political decisions due to be made in 2010.
