Florø airport generates local employment, and efficient air services are important for businesses in Florø and adjacent areas. The offshore helicopter base and other base activities for the oil and gas activities create potential for wider economic benefits. Realization of this potential, together with a growth in offshore oil and gas activity, may in the future require enhanced air services.
